Holter Monitor

Holter monitors can determine a patient’s cardiac anomalies when a standard ECG shows no abnormal activity after a set amount of time in the office or in a diagnostic setting. While many patients may recognize Holter monitors as a necessary method of diagnosing abnormal heart rate directly before or after cardiac surgery, Holter monitors can also determine whether cardiac medication is working properly, if the heart is properly oxygenated (which may indicate respiratory problems), or intermittent heart difficulties. While several manufacturers tout models with varying forms of technology, ReactDx’s Holter cardiac monitors deliver more features and the best technology in the industry.

Diogenes Algorithm
ReactDx’s state-of-the-art Holter monitors, such as the DecipherTM Holter, come standard with their patented Diogenes algorithm to measure beat-for-beat rate, rhythm, morphology, and P-wave analysis. The Diogenes algorithm senses the patient’s typical rhythm and determines anomalies as it “learns” factors relating to each individual patient’s specific heart rate pattern, giving the highest clinical yield in the market. Diogenes also determines if a pacemaker is present and reacts accordingly. This technology replaces several other manufacturers’ models, alleviating the necessity to switch monitors if arrhythmias persist or extraneous symptoms occur.

One System
With one system to oversee enrollment, monitor configuration, data storage, compilation, report ordering, and transfer, physicians have one simple point of contact to complete transactions. For physicians, one system creates a world of opportunities since data is easily assembled into STAT reports available in an hour, along with guaranteed one-day report turnaround.

You can even choose the Holter your patients need, from one day to up to 96 hours of continuous monitoring. Screens are capable of showing patients ECG tracings and whether leads are loose or placed incorrectly. With an internal Flash memory, data are saved in the event of battery failure — a much safer option than an external flash drive. At the onset of symptoms, patients can click an event button to match their external symptoms with ECG readings.
